| Ex-Viking Sanchez leaves hospital |
FORMER Hull Vikings' fans' favourite Emiliano Sanchez has been released from hospital, just a week after surgery to remove his spleen.
Sanchez suffered the injuries in a high-speed crash against Newport.
He is back at his East Yorkshire base, but will miss the rest of Birmingham's season.
Brummies' boss Graham Drury said: "We've been inundated with cards for Emiliano and we are happy to take them from the speedway office at Perry Barr and pass them on."
Sanchez was part of the Vikings 2004 treble winning side, as was Garry Stead, who is now confined to a wheelchair after an horrific racing crash in May.
